BijaBody is the mother company of RootedinBeauty (RiB), a social venture which aims to connect the ingredients used in the beauty industry to women in impoverished regions of the world who desperately need economic opportunities. BijaBody dedicates 1% of revenues towards developing RiB programs. 1% of revenues doesn't sound like a whole lot, but we're not talking about profits. This is money in, regardless of costs out, and we're in it for the long-run.

We'll use this fund to create women owned/run agricultural projects, focused on beauty ingredients, and then partner with other responsible beauty companies to purchase ingredients at a fair price from those farms. For you, this means that every time you purchase a product from BijaBody you will be supporting women,  sustainable farming practices, economies, and ultimately, families.

We are a growing company, and are working our booties off to get these projects going. Our goal is to begin our first ag-project by mid-2012. Wish us luck, or better yet, love our products as much as we do, because if you love them, RiB has a real shot at changing the way the beauty industry as a whole affects the world economy.
